an encouragingly beautiful smile... It is my gift and responsibility to capture every moment I can to inspire others.
I want people to hear the music through my photographs; keep them laughing, make them cry... Evoke some kind
of emotion. My mission as a photographer is to move the masses as my subjects continuously inspire me.
Inspired by Gordon Parks and Chester Higgins, jr. I strive to document the everyday life of the average man, woman
and child, to keep it timeless. Moved by Joe Conzo's Born in the Bronx, Ernie Paniccioli's Who Shot Ya?, Annie
Leibovitz's American Music, and Henry Diltz's California Dreamin', it is my goal to document the evolution of the
music movement throughout New York City and beyond. I also credit my photographic growth to the guidance of
my mentors and peers, Ernie Paniccioli, Joe Conzo, Jamel Shabazz, Akintola Hanif, etc.
Freelancing has allowed me the opportunity to photograph historic events at various locations such as the United
Nations, The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Sounds of Brazil, BB King, Joe's Pub, etc. My work
has been featured on websites such as Vibe, MayaAzucena.com and Okayplayer. My work has also been featured
in different journal publications and used as promotional work for artists. I continue to photograph events, portraits
and everyday life in New York City, across America, the Caribbean and throughout Europe.
